A young girl punched a man in the face as he made a grab for her on Moss Lane as she was on her way home from her school in Sale at around 4pm on Wednesday 25 March. After seizing her arm, the man – thought to be in his late 50’s – grabbed at the 12 year-old girl a second time before she assertively punched him and ran off.
White with short greying hair and at 5ft 8in tall, the man was described by the girl as having a long face and a pointy nose. Working with the girl, Police have been able to construct an E-fit of the man who spoke in a local accent and wore silver-framed rectangular glasses with an orange/brown tint to the lenses, a black bomber-style jacket, white polo t-shirt, loose-fitting blue jeans and black shoes.
Detective Constable Dan Hayes said: “This young girl has been very brave and worked with our forensic imaging specialists to relive what she went through and produce an accurate image of what he looked like.
“I would ask people to look carefully at this image and if you do recognise this man, or see him hanging around the area, please call us.
