On Friday 14 October, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) was called to reports of a child suffering from a knife wound.
They arrived at Plant Hill Park in Blackley at around 5pm, where they found a 12-year-old boy with the injury.
The youngster was taken to hospital to have a puncture wound treated.
Reportedly, GMP has released a statement following the incident.
They have stated that no crime has been committed in relation to the wound. However, it is unclear how the child acquired the injury.
Luckily, the young boy is now out of hospital and the incident was not fatal.
