A British couple could potentially have to pay £130,000 in medical fees after their baby arrived 11 weeks early whilst on holiday in America.
Katie Amos went in to labour whilst on a five-day break in New York with her finacee Lee Johnston.
Their son, Dax, was born weighing just 3lbs and is not allowed to fly home until 10 March, leaving the new family wondering how they will fund their unexpected extended stay.
Although Amos and Johnston, from Burgh-le-Marsh in Lincolnshire, were cleared to travel by their insurers they are unsure whether these unforeseen circumstances would also be covered.
The worried couple have set up a Go Get Funding page called ‘Dax’s Tale of New York’ in an attempt to raise money to see them through the next few months.
