The National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP) Colorado Springs office was bombed today in what is thought to be a terrorist attack.
Nobody was killed or injured and only surface damage was caused to buildings but it could have been much worse after it was noted that the improvised explosive device was placed next to a gasoline can.
It is thought that the bomb was placed strategically in an attempt to increase the force of the explosion.
NAACP chapter president Henry Allen Jr. told The Gazette that the “boom” from the explosion was “strong enough to knock items off the walls”.
A white male in his 40s is wanted by the FBI in connection with the incident.
