The video for Adele’s new single ‘Hello’ has surpassed Taylor Swift’s record for the most viewed video in a single day.
Adele’s followers went in to a frenzy when the moody, black and white film was released on her website on Friday. But it was on the video viewing website Vevo where the video received 27.7 million views in just a day, breaking the record of 20 million views, which was previously set by Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’.
Greg Kurstin, who produced and co-wrote ‘Hello’ has been implying how hard it was to keep details about the song secret, the Grammy and Golden-Globe nominated songwriter said “It’s not been easy to hold that information in for that long”, he also added that he was “blown away” by the single’s immediate success. ‘Hello’ topped the iTunes singles chart in 85 different countries.
