Heavyweight boxer and Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua MBE has announced the launch of his new management agency AJ Boxing Management. The business will exclusively represent all of the 26-year-old’s commitments, both inside and outside of the ring.
Joshua recently signed a new three-year promotional deal with Matchroom and is quickly becoming recognised as the face and the future of British boxing. Outside of the ring Joshua has followed in the path of Lennox Lewis, becoming the face of high street brand French Connection’s ‘FCUK FEAR’ campaign.
The undefeated heavyweight has won all 14 of his professional bouts and plans to forage further in to the weight division, until he achieves his ultimate goal of becoming the World Heavyweight Champion. Joshua will have to contemplate a meeting with the newly crowned champion and Manchester born Tyson Fury, if he is to fulfil his aspirations.
However Joshua appears modest in his capabilities and rightly so considering the start of his career, he has stated, “I am really excited to be moving to the next stage in my professional career. It feels like the right time to take control of all my professional and commercial commitments with a core group of people who have been with me for a long time and who I trust fully”. He also added “I would like to thank all my agencies for all the work they have put in over the years”.
The new venture will include Joshua recruiting a new elite team of management professionals who have all expressed a desire to see Joshua’s business prospects flourish beyond his boxing career.
Joshua is set to meet with amateur rival Dillian Whyte for the British and Commonwealth title on December the 12th at The O2 in London.
