Appeal after hospital robbery

Police are making a public appeal for information following a hospital robbery on Stott Lane in Salford.

At 3.10pm on Thursday 2 February 2017 police responded to reports of two men entering an office and demanding money. The office was located at the rear of a hospital café .

The offenders proceeded to steal a bag containing a large quantity of cash before fleeing the scene.

The first man is described to be white, in his mid to late 40s, and of average build and stature. He wore black clothing, a woollen hat and had black material covering the lower part of his face. His eyes are described to be blue and he spoke with a Liverpudlian accent.

The second offender is described to be white, in his mid 40s and of a slim build. He also had facial hair. He was wearing a hat, dark clothing, and carried a bag. His jacket was emblazoned with logo saying “cope”.

In a bid to identify a man they wish to speak to, a CCTV image has been released.
