A 40 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms related offences after three shootings in two days.
Shots were fired just before 7:15pm on Wednesday 24 June at an address on Colindale Avenue, Blackley.
Then, just before 11:40pm on the same day, police were called to an address on Moston Lane East, Chadderton to reports that the property had been damaged.
Finally, a third firearm discharge was reported to police shortly after 10:20pm on Thursday 25 June 2015. Officers attended an address on Kilmaine Avenue, Blackley after witnesses had reported hearing a large bang and finding damage to the property. Forensic analysis confirmed the damage to be consistent with a shotgun discharge.
Nobody was inured during any of the incidents but attending officers found damage consistent with shotgun discharge at all three residences.
Since witnesses have come forward describing men with their faces covered leaving the first scene and a black car leaving the second, a single arrest has been made and the man remains in custody.
