A man has attacked an Asda staff member with a knife during an attempted robbery in Gorton.
The man threatened the worker using a knife at 9pm on Friday 11 December 2015. He walked into the warehouse of Asda on Reddish Lane and demanded money, brandishing a blade.
The employee managed to lock himself in an office and raise the alarm before the offender escaped empty handed.
He is described as being black, had brown eyes, small nose, aged in his early to mid 30s, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, wore a black hooded coat, a scarf covering his mouth and black trousers.
Before appealing for witnesses, Detective Jason Bell said, “The man climbed over a fence at the back of Asda and escaped the same way”.
