Baywatch movie hits cinemas
A reboot of the classic 90s TV show Baywatch will take over UK cinemas just in time for summer.
The iconic American show, which aired between 1989 and 2001, has been turned into a film – released on 29 May.
The dynamic duo of Zac Efron and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson star in the film as lifeguards Mitch and Matt.
Main actors David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, who played iconic lifeguard duo Mitch and C.J, reportedly make appearances, also.
So what are the original cast members up to nowadays?
Needless to say, the release of the film has sparked online speculation as to the whereabouts of the old gang.
Since the TV series finished, Hasselhoff has continued to act – featuring in Broadway theatre and a Peter Pan London pantomime.
The Hoff and his daughters have also all starred together on their own reality show Meet the Hasselhoffs.
Anderson, the show’s most notable female actress, went on to star in shows such as V.I.P, Stipperella and Stacked.
She reprises her role of C.J. Parker in the movie.
Actress and TV personality Carmen Electra played Lani in the original series.
She went on to star in films such as Starsky & Hutch, Scary Movie and Meet the Spartans.
Alexandra Paul, who played Stephanie, went on to star in a number of TV movies, including Sharknado 4.
She continues to act and also works as a wellness coach.
Actor David Chokachi, who played Cody in the mid-90s, later featured on Witchblade and Beyond the Break.
The new film is set in Broward County, Florida.
Directed by Seth Gordon, principal photography for the film began on Deerfield Beach, Florida in February 2016.
Other scenes were also shot in Miami and Savannah, Georgia.
The original TV series was filmed and set in Malibu, California.
