Legendary “King of Blues” BB King passed away on Thursday night aged 89.
King died in his sleep in Las Vegas after he had been suffering ill health in recent months.
A hard-working man who would perform at least one hundred concerts a year until recently, BB King started his career playing to black-only audiences. But his amazing talent and consequent collaborations with musicians from other backgrounds made him accessible to all and a chart-topping, world-famous artist.
Funeral arrangements for the father of 15 are already underway.
