Best places to holiday in the UK (Part 1)

Summertime is fast approaching. Sunshine, clear skies, warm air and plenty of smiles. And that’s just in Manchester!

Today, we at TNT are here to give you the best places to holiday in the UK because we believe that you don’t always have to break the bank to have a good time.


Blessed with beautiful sandy beaches, Cornwall forms the peninsula to the southwest. Boasting more than just beaches, Cornwall has established itself as a popular UK holiday destination with an array of tourist attractions. These include over 40 glorious gardens to visit, galleries and outdoor activities such as surfing and kayaking.

Lake District 

From quirky cottages, romantic log cabins, picturesque country houses or even a tent. There is plenty of choice regarding where to stay when you visit the Lakes. The Lake District National Park has walks for a variety of abilities. Promising a breath of fresh air and breath-taking views, its not hard to see why the Lake District is a national treasure.

Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight is the second most populous island in England, located around 4 miles off the coast of Hampshire. It is also the Dinosaur Capital of Great Britain. The Isle of Wight Festival, hosted 8-11th June is a highly anticipated annual event, and for good reason. This year’s headliners include Rod Stewart, Arcade Fire and DJ David Guetta.

Scottish Highlands

If there are things that the Scottish Highlands aren’t short of it culture, architecture, history and unparalleled scenery. The beautiful cottages that are available to rent truly make this holiday in the UK a home from home. Get lost (but not literally) in Aviemore, Broara or Broadford.


One of the most popular holiday destinations in Dorset include the picturesque seaside town of Weymouth. Complete with traditional Punch and Judy shows, donkey rides, carrousels and fish and chips, you’ll wonder why you’ve waited so long to go.
