BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull made an embarrassing slip-up on live television this morning, as he said the C-word instead of ‘Client’.
Turnbull was referring to reaction to a public health story when he said the word but quickly regained his composure and carried on with the rest of the broadcast.
As always, social media reacted with some people citing that Turnbull meant to say the word since he can be seen looking at the camera shortly after with a ‘naughty boy look’, a twitter user said via #BillTurnbull.
“BBC’s Bill Turnbull was clearly told about it in his ear & gave a ‘naughty boy’ look to camera :-)”, Paul Bentham said.
In a statement, the BBC has since said: “Bill unintentionally stumbled over his words and we apologise if any offence was caused.”
