Following a collision with a car in Wigan, a 16-year old boy has died.
At around 9pm on Saturday 14 November 2015, the young man was involved in a collision with a Range Rover Evoque travelling along the road, when he was crossing Nook Lane near to the junction of Derby Road in Wigan.
Subsequently, the young man was taken to hospital where he later died of injuries.
An investigation has been launched by Officers from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, who attended the scene and commenced an investigation. The 32-year-old driver of the Land Rover was not detained.
The SCIU closed Nook Lane, for around six hours, whilst they carried out their investigations.
Constable Paul Shore said: “We need anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or perhaps saw what happened to contact us so we can try and ascertain the exact circumstances of this collision.”
