A 9-year-old boy was taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Rochdale last week, leaving him with serious injuries including a torn spleen.
The boy was hit by a blue Toyota Yaris at around 3.40pm on Thursday 30 June as the car drove along Argyle Street in Heywood towards Angus Avenue.
Police Constable Paul Patterson of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Fortunately, the boy is in a stable condition and is beginning his road to recovery but the investigation continues”.
The 9-year-old was taken to hospital and treated for injuries to his face, a fractured hip, bruising to his lung, and a tear to his spleen.
Officers investigating the collision are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
PC Patterson added: “No matter how insignificant they may think the information could be, it could be the information we need to progress with the investigation”.
