BUFF – BRITISH URBAN FILM FESTIVAL

This will be a six day event featuring twenty seven screenings and four UK Premieres.

For the first time in its 10 year history, the British Urban Film Festival will be recognising actors, actresses, scriptwriters and filmmakers whose work has been showcased by ‘BUFF’ since the festival was launched in the summer of 2005.

The inaugural BUFF Awards will also present emerging talent awards to filmmakers and scriptwriters whose works have featured in this year’s British Urban Film Festival, which runs from the 17th to the 21st of
September.

BUFF 2015 begins on Wednesday 16th September with the pre-festival party at The W Hotel
in Leicester Square.

The first ever BUFF awards from The Cinema Museum in Kennington on Thursday 17th September hosted by Abrantee Boateng (Capital Xtra) & Larushka Ivan-Zadeh (Metro).

Opening Night Double Header gala features two UK premieres at the Genesis in Stepney –”That Daughter’s Crazy” (starring Rain Pryor) and Manchester’s own “Lapse of Honour” (starring Lady Leshurr) on Friday 18th September.

UK Premieres of “Brash Young Turks” (starring Julian Glover) on Saturday 19th September
and the closing night gala – “Invisible Men” (starring DJ Abrantee) on Monday 21st
September at the Genesis in Stepney.

Also two nights of Short film screenings (supported by Channel 4) on Sunday 20th –
Monday 21st September at the Genesis in Stepney

Two days of free events (BUFF America Debate, Live Script Readings and the BUFF
masterclass with Marlon Smith and Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan) at Channel 4 headquarters in
Westminster on Thursday 17th – Friday 18 September.

BUFF’s stellar line-up of presenters include Angie Le Mar, Remel London, Jenni Steele,
Akosua Annobil, Mr Cee.
