Rochdale-based second-hand car company Carcraft has gone in to administration, leaving around 500 people without jobs.
The company, which has a branch in Stretford, has left existing customers in the lurch as warranties carried out with the business are no longer valid.
Said to have suffered from “poor market reputation, lack of investment, a high cost base, expensive loan note financing and an insolvent balance sheet,” the 64 year-old company was said to be making an annual loss of about £8m a year.
