Kanye West called-off a surprise show in New York City on Monday 6 June, causing chaos in the streets of Manhattan as thousands of fans showed up to see him live.
The 38-year-old rapper announced an out of the blue gig on Twitter, after the Governors Ball, where he was booked to perform, was cancelled due to the weather.
He tweeted: ”Show at 2am SOLD OUT” and more than 4,000 people crowded Webster Hall, which has a capacity of 1,500.
Fans hurriedly climbed on top of cars, rubbish bins, trees, and hung out of windows in the hope of catching a glimpse of the superstar.
The concert venue announced shortly before 2am that there would be no show, as vandalism by fans escalated and NYPD was called.
West popped his head out of the sunroof of his vehicle and waved before the car set off.
