Conor McGregor’s ‘date night’ with Rita Ora raised plenty of eyebrows. On top of that, he has since given a shout out to Rita after that night.
The UFC champion already has a long-term girlfriend and a baby at home. But the 29-year-old seems to be thriving on the controversy.
Conor gave a shout out to Rita while partying at swanky London nightclub Cirque Le Soir.
In footage filmed by a reveller at the club, Conor was heard saying into a microphone: ‘What’s up Rita Ora?’
The MMA fighter left the decadent circus-themed club, which has played host to Miley Cyrus, Louis Tomlinson and Rihanna in the past, at 4am. He pulled his Givenchy hoodie up over his face as he left.
Conor and Rita created quite a stir on the night of 5 December as they attended the Fashion Awards as dates of Donatella Versace.
While Lewis Hamilton and Jourdan Dunn also accompanied the legendary designer to the awards ceremony, it was Rita and Conor’s snap from the party that made headlines.
Rita, 27, captioned cosy pictures of herself and the fighter ‘Date night’. This sparked outrage and even caused Olivia Buckland to claim she’d put the singer ‘six feet under’ if she spoke about her boyfriend like that.
Conor has been with his girlfriend Dee Devlin since 2008, and they welcomed their first child, Conor Jr, in May of this year.
A spokesperson for Rita said she didn’t mean to cause offence with her caption, adding: ‘Date night is a figure of speech, Rita also posted selfies with Donatella Versace as her real date and one with Jourdan Dunn as her date.’
Meanwhile, after the date night drama, Rita confirmed she is in a relationship with Andrew Watt.
Dee remained silent and posted a picture of her seven-month-old son to Instagram.
