Curried Chick Peas

 

This is a great dish for vegetarians or those wanting to lower their consumption of meat

Heat up a good sized notch of butter in a pan, gently melt the butter or a vegan alternative.

Chop up one large onion, 4 garlic cloves and some parsley. Place all of the ingredients into frying pan and brown for around 2-4  minutes. Add 2 teaspoons of hot curry powder and stir in to a paste.

Next, add 2 tablespoons of warm water to the pan and add 1 tin of chick peas. Allow to simmer for ten minutes add a sprinkle of salt to taste.

Serve on a bed of white basmalti rice with sprouts if desired.
