Daffodils

Traditionally this flower is the national emblem of Wales, along with the leek.  It is supposed to start flowering on St David’s Day (1 March) and is traditionally worn on that day.

Planting of Daffodils are preferably planted at the end of September in order to bloom for spring. These bulbs are particularly useful for adding colour to spring borders and marking when officially the warmer weather of spring has started.
