DMX brought back to life after being found unconscious









Legendary rapper DMX had to be resuscitated, after being found unconscious at a hotel car park last week.

A representative for the rapper has said the 45-year-old had stopped breathing at around 6pm, but did not know the cause, stating that his asthma might have been the reason.

Police in Yonkers, New York were alerted of an unconscious man at the Ramada Inn car park. Once at the scene Officers escorted DMX, real name Earl Simmons, to a nearby hospital where he was given CPR and oxygen.

DMX rose to prominence as a rapper during the early 2000s with hits such as Where The Hood At, Ruff Ryders Anthem, Party Up and X Gon’ Give It To Ya, selling over 30 million albums worldwide.

Sadly though, he has encountered trouble with the law after being arrested for drug and animal cruelty charges, as well as failing to pay child support.

Many of his fellow musicians took to Twitter to send their condolences and prayers with Ja Rule and Roots drummer QuestLove among them.

Simmons is believed to be currently recovering from the episode; close friend and superstar producer Swizz Beats released a photo of the two at work on DMX’s new album saying, “Just got off the phone with DOG. He’s good and in great spirits Thanks for all the blessings”.
