Aspirational British menswear brand Duck and Cover has joined forces with Manchester’s leading youth network Unity Radio to launch the ‘Duck and Cover Designer Quest’.
The competition is a golden opportunity for Manchester’s community of budding fashion designers to realise their ambitions and have their clothing designs produced by one of the UK’s leading menswear brands.
“From music to design, the Manchester region has a reputation for delivering some of the UK’s hottest talent,” said Duck and Cover managing director, Nigel Addison. “Duck and Cover has always had a strong and loyal following in Manchester and by partnering with Unity Radio we’re hoping to uncover some of the regions most talented new designers.”
Unity Radio listeners are being asked to submit five design sketches/CADs, including outerwear, knitwear, shirts, T-shirts and trousers. The winner will have their designs produced as part of Duck and Cover’s Autumn Winter ‘16 collection.
“We are delighted to partner with Duck and Cover clothing on the Designer Quest project, which fully embraces Unity Radio’s ethos of investing in Manchester’s community.” according to Lee Dinsdale, director at Unity Radio.
The Duck and Cover Designer Quest runs between 7th September – 15th November 2015. Entrants should submit their design to DesignerQuest@duckandcover.co.uk
