Eight arrests made in Manchester Arena attack investigation
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has confirmed that the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit has helped in a Withington arrest.
EOD helped the police with the search of the property in Withington following an arrest on 24 May. This is in relation to the attack at Manchester Arena.
Officers have also made an arrest in Moss Side on the same day. This is in relation to the attack at Manchester Arena. There is also a raid that was carried out today 26 May, however the GMP have not mentioned if there has been an arrest or not.
Police conducted a raid in St Helens above a shop called Lorenzo Pizza, however no arrest was made from the search.
Eight people remain in custody for questioning, as police raids carry on across the country as investigations into the network behind the attack continue.
Police responding to an incident in Hulme also arrested a man, but it was not linked to the attack. The made is being held on suspicion of possession of cannabis, and he remains in police custody.
Armed police officers are patrolling trains in parts of the country as the terror threat remains critical.
