Celebrity: Fashion, feuds and friendship

Angie Stone proved that no matter how grown-up your child is, they’re never too old to hold a beating! The 53 year-old singer has been charged with aggravated assault after she knocked her daughter’s front teeth out.

The fight apparently started after Angie told her daughter Diamond Stone to clean her room and control her children who were running around the house. It is not known who struck the first blow but Angie is claiming she hit Diamond with a metal stand in self-defence and stopped immediately after she realised her daughter was seriously injured.

Diamond Stone, 30, posted photos of her mangled mouth on Instagram but deleted them soon after. It was reported that her teeth were already rotten but she said, “It don’t matter if my teeth were rotten or not…I could’ve gotten a root canal.”

In more positive news, singer Rihanna has become the new face of Dior. The fashion giant revealed to Women’s Wear Daily that she will star in the fourth episode of Dior’s Secret Garden video. The print and film campaign is expected to roll out over Spring.

Could RiRi’s friend and fellow fashion lover Kanye West be about to collaborate with Wale? Calling Kanye a “real live genius” on Twitter, Wale sent fans a clip of a song he is working on via Snapchat. In the 12-second clip Kanye’s Auto-tuned singing can be heard but little has been revealed about how or when the song could be released.

Here on British soil, there may not be a collaboration any time soon but a reconciliation is looking likely between the Gallagher brothers after Liam went to see big brother Noel’s band, the High Flying Birds, at the Manchester Arena. Liam tweeted a picture of himself holding an Access All Areas pass that was captioned, “Keeping it in the family… LG x” The pair’s arguing resulted in Brit Rock group Oasis splitting and the feud continued long after Liam left in 2009.

Finally, Italian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana may be about to lose a lot of money and support after Elton John started a campaign to #BoycottDolceGabbana after it emerged the designers called babies produced using IVF “synthetic”.

The singer, who has two children with husband David Furnish, wrote on Instagram, “How dare you refer to my beautiful children as ‘synthetic’.

“And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF – a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children.

“Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana.”

One-time couple Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabanna have often voiced their negative opinion of same-sex marriage in the past but this is the first time they have attacked the idea of same sex families when speaking to an Italian magazine over the weekend.
