There is bad news for hay fever sufferers after the Met Office warned that levels will be high throughout the day.
For those with pollen allergies, sunny and bright weather comes with a price to pay. However there was some relief in the announcement as it is looking a little less itchy for the weekend when the pollen count drops to a medium rating this Saturday and Sunday.
The pollen count season is normally from March to August. However, it can start as early as January and end as late as November, according to the Met Office.
Hay fever is worsened by dry and sunny weather. Majority of pollen is released in the early morning, falling to the ground when the air cools in the evening.
