In the early hours of 15 October, a homeless man was attacked in Manchester city centre.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have now released CCTV footage of the event, in the hope to encourage witnesses or people with information to come forward.
The incident happened at around 6:30am on Market Street, close to Tesco.
Footage shows the brutal assault in which the 58-year-old victim was beaten with his own crutch, before being stamped on by his attacker.
Detective Constable Paul Wilde from GMP has released a statement. “This was a savage attack on a vulnerable man that has left him with possible life-changing injuries.
“This happened in the early hours of the morning in the city centre when people would have been going to work and seen something”.
The police are keen to track the suspect down and urge anyone with any information to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 558 of 15/10/16, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
If you do know something, do your bit to bring this man to justice.
