Detectives investigating the death of a man in Oldham have made an arrest.
At 12.20am on Sunday 30 July 2017, police received a call from North West Ambulance Service. The body of a man had been found at a property on Lee’s New Road.
The man had suffered multiple stab wounds and sadly died at the scene.
Officers believe that the men forced their way inside the flat armed with a knife before inflicting fatal stab wounds. A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. A murder enquiry is ongoing.
Detective Chief Inspector Waywell: “This is a tragic set of circumstances where two men have forced their way inside before subjecting him to a brutal attack inside his own home.
