Detectives have launched an investigation after gunmen on a motorbike fired shots at a city centre bar.
Shortly after 10.15pm on Wednesday 3 May 2017 police were called to Deansgate to reports of shots being fired.
Two men arrived on a motorbike. The passenger fired three shots at a bar before they drove off.
One man suffered a minor injury but not as a direct result of the shooting.
The road was closed but has since reopened. A cordon is in place and the investigation is ongoing.
Superintendent Arif Nawaz, of GMP’s City of Manchester team, said: “This is a shocking incident that will understandably cause concern among residents and visitors to the city.
“We believe this to be a targeted attack and was not a direct threat to the wider community. It is fortunate that nobody was seriously injured.
