He has long denied the claims, however Las Vegas Police Department have now confirmed he won’t be facing charges.
The unnamed woman claimed the Ray star Jamie hit her in the face with his appendage ‘after she refused to perform oral sex on him’ during an encounter 16 years ago.
TMZ claimed a spokesperson from the police department said Jamie would not be charged. They added that the statute of limitations in regards to this particular legal action expired after three years. This meant that no criminal charges could be brought against him after 2005.
The publication reported the case was previously listed as an open investigation. He also won’t face a civil lawsuit, it was reported.
The woman who raised the allegation claimed she was at a party held at the Las Vegas home of the actor.
After the alleged penis-striking incident, she reportedly claimed she was kicked out of the house by a friend of Jamie’s. She reportedly had to receive medical treatment for a severe panic attack that followed.
Throughout the investigation Jamie’s lawyer, Allison Hart issued a statement on behalf of the star who denied all allegations.
‘Jamie Foxx emphatically denies that this incident ever occurred, and he will be filing a report with the Las Vegas Police Department against the woman for filing a false police report against him,’ it read.
‘The first time Mr. Foxx became aware of this woman’s absurd claims about an incident that supposedly occurred 16 years ago was when TMZ contacted his representatives about this story.
‘The alleged incident was not reported to law enforcement in 2002, or at any other time in the last sixteen years until recently because the incident never happened.’
Jamie is currently dating actress Katie Holmes.
