The scene of Jeremy Clarkson’s infamous fracas with a BBC Top Gear producer has been commemorated with a plaque at the hotel where the incident occurred. The absurd plaque reads “Here lies the BBC career of Jeremy Clarkson who had a fracas on this spot, 4 March 2015. The rest is legend”.
Earlier this month it was revealed that Oisin Tymon is suing Clarkson and the BBC for racial discrimination, as a result of the ‘‘verbal abuse’’ that he received from the presenter. The producer suffered swelling and a split lip in the incident, whilst some online tolls sent death threats to Tymon, blaming him for the termination of Top Gear.
