Two of the biggest R&B singers of the 90s and early 2000s are set to come to Manchester this coming February.
Grammy Award winning Ashanti will return for a nationwide R&B tour commencing at the beginning of next year. This tour will mark her first return to the UK in three years.
Not only will the 36-year-old singer perform her top hits, but will also start work on an upcoming album. The new work, which will mark her fifth studio album, is due to be released in 2017.
The ‘Foolish’ singer, dealt with a very public and messy breakup with renowned rapper, Nelly, last year. The pair had been dating for 10 years.
As much as the relationship was kept out of the limelight, Ashanti herself has been in no way short of overwhelming attention. In 2015, Ashanti opened up about crazed fans and an ongoing trail against a stalker.
Ashanti will be joined by Grammy nominee singer, songwriter and music producer, Joe. Joe’s most famous works include: ‘Don’t Wanna Be a Player’, ‘Stutter’, ‘If I Was Your Man’ and ‘Thank God I Found You’.
The inspirational R&B duo will hit Manchester on 24 February 2017 at Manchester Academy. Tickets will be released for sale from 16 December.
