CAA has signed Jamaican reggae singer, rapper and guitarist Koffee for representation in North and South America.
The 19-year-old reggae/dancehall sensation released her first EP titled Rapture on 14 March. The five-song album has already garnered 20 million streams on Spotify and features single “Toast,” which appeared in Jordan Peele’s 2019 thriller Us.
The music video for “Toast” has also received more than 27 million views on YouTube.
Koffee continues to expand her brand on the international stage. She was recently a musical guest on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on 13 June. She made the announcement on her Instagram page when she shared the date with her followers.
Her appearance on the show will also be her US TV debut. The young singer is also set to appear on Fox 5 New York as she recently did an interview with Lisa Evans.
Over the past couple of weeks, she has appeared on several media outlets in the United States as she promotes Rapture. She previously appeared on Apple Music’s “Up Next” and sat down for an interview on Hot 97 radio.
“I am very proud to be featured as the new #UpNext artist for @AppleMusic,” she said.
Koffee first reached a wide audience with her 2017 single “Legend.” “Legend” is a tribute Jamaican Olympian Usain Bolt, who reposted the song on his Instagram account.
Apple Music also announced Koffee as one of its latest “Up Next” artists.
In 2018, Koffee signed with Columbia Records UK and RCA in the US. She will hit the road this year in support of her EP. The Spanish Town-born artist will play throughout Europe and play Austin City Limits later in the year.
Koffee will continue to be managed by Tammi Chang and Pierre Bost.
She made history earlier this year when she became the youngest artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Reggae Chart. So far, she has been receiving rave reviews for her debut effort.
