A 31-year-old woman was raped on Monday 14 November in Levenshulme.
Greater Manchester Police were called to Cringle Park on Clare Road at about 12pm. At the scene they found that the woman had been attacked whilst walking through the local park.
The perpetrator has been described as having his hood up and wearing dark clothing at the time of the attack. Police investigations into tracking the man down are ongoing.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Mossop, of GMP’s City of Manchester division, said: “This is a shocking incident that is sure to cause much concern.
“We have increased patrols to provide reassurance to the local community and we have dedicated detectives working to catch the offender”.
