A man has been charged with assault after an attack in Salford. 20-year-old Jake Hines of Salford has been charged with three section 18 assaults and possession of an offensive weapon. He was due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates Court on Tuesday the 19th of January.
Around 2am on Monday the 18th of January police were called to Barff Road to reports that a man with a bat was attacking a man and woman. Officers attended and discovered that a 36-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman had suffered serious head injuries. They were taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
A 30-year-old woman was also taken to hospital for treatment on a broken hand.
