Greater Manchester Police (GMP) detectives have launched an investigation after a man was shot in Moss Side.
Police were called shortly before 2.50pm on Sunday 19 February 2017, to a report that a man had been shot. The reports revealed that the shooting occurred outside a café/takeaway on Great Western Street.
Armed response officers attended and discovered that a man had been shot in the thigh and had been taken to hospital. The man remains in a serious condition.
An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.
Two men, aged 20 and 45, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in police custody for questioning.
