Man stabbed twelve times in Printworks attack

A horrifying attack outside The Printworks has left a 25-year-old man with 12 stab wounds and a lifetime of scars

In the early hours of 16 January, an altercation occurred between two men outside the nightclub, Mambos, on Dantzick Street.

The attack, which occurred around 12:15am, resulted in 12 stab wounds to the chest and abdomen of the victim.

The 25-year-old victim was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary where his multiple wounds were treated. He has since been released and is recovering at home.

The attacker is described as a white male, between the ages of 20 and 25-years-old. He is of medium build and between 5ft to 5ft 5ins tall. He also had scratches on his forehead and spoke with a local accent.

In CCTV images, the offender wears jeans, a dark coloured body warmer, a white long sleeved top, and white trainers.

The attacker was seen fleeing the scene by getting into a white taxi following the stabbing.

According to reports, the knife-wielding offender threatened the taxi driver with the weapon for the duration of the journey. He was dropped off on Radium Street in Ancoats.

Det Sgt Richard Anderson, of GMP’s City of Manchester Team, said: “This was a violent attack which initially left a man in hospital.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or anyone who has any information, to please get in touch”.
