A 41-year-old man remains in a serious condition after a stabbing in Rochdale, and Police now want to speak to another man in relation to the incident.
Two men were involved in a confrontation on John Street, Rochdale, on Sunday 5 June at around 9.50pm; this became a physical altercation before one of the men was stabbed.
The victim then ran away to seek medical attention, and was admitted to hospital where he underwent surgery.
Detective Constable Craig Wallace of GMP’s Rochdale Borough said: “We know that an incident such as this is likely to cause some worry within the local area but I would like to stress that we believe this to be a targeted attack with no immediate threat to other members of the public”.
Police now wish to speak with 28-year-old Kyle Newlands regarding the incident, and have appealed to the public for information.
