Manchester Academy’s student, Ali Aldhufairi is set to box for England. After taking the title of British School Boy Champion, Ali has exceeded all expectations.
Ali, is in Year 7 at Manchester Academy and started boxing at 11. Aldhufairi is now a member of the Longsight Boxing Club.
After six months of taking part in heats across the country, the 12-year-old was named British School Boy Champion. Ali, just needed two rounds to beat his opponent in the final.
That victory has helped Ali, who is from Longsight, secure a place in the national squad.

“We’re incredibly proud of Ali. Not only has he proved he is the best in his age range across schools nationally. He has now earned a well-deserved place in the England squad. ”
