Manchester City Council (MCC) has a new scheme which it hopes will reduce carbon emissions, with cycle stand across Manchester’s parks and green spaces.
MCC is delivering the city-wide cycle parking scheme project funded by Clean City money, installing hundreds of new cycle stands across the city to make cycling more convenient.
A number of sites for the new cycle stands have been identified ‘on street’ but MCC is also looking at the potential of installing stands in ‘off street’ sites such as park and green space locations.
The stands are a standard hoop style (known as ‘Sheffield Stands’) and if you have any suggestions for parks or green spaces that would benefit, MCC would like to hear from you.
In order to be considered, all suggestions must refer to a park or green space and must be received by 4pm on Wednesday 7 September.
