Manchester United star Paul Pogba has completed Islam’s non-compulsory pilgrimage to Mecca, Islam’s holiest city.
It is believed Pogba has already completed Hajj to Mecca – the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad. The footballer’s trip this week is Umrah, or a non-compulsory visit.
It is the second post the world’s most expensive player has uploaded to his Instagram. Before this, he published a picture to his account wearing a white robe (the Ihram) to symbolise purity.
United’s 24-year-old midfielder continued his video diary of his pilgrimage to mark the start of Ramadan. The second post was him videoing himself teaching a local how to dab.
However, he seems to not be a great teacher as the man in the video struggles to perform the dab, much to the hilarity of a visibly-amused Pogba, who captioned the video: “Get ready for the new dab”.
Pogba, a Muslim, is visiting the holy Islamic city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
He called the sight the “most beautiful thing I’ve seen in my life”.
Last week, Pogba dedicated United’s Europa cup title victory to all the 22 victims of Manchester Arena attack and prayed for the injured and their families.
