‘Mary Poppins’ flies into Palace theatre Manchester

The internationally renowned multi-award winning musical ‘Mary Poppins’ will arrive at Manchester’s Palace Theatre on the 20th of January, and will be here until the 5th of March.

The magical story of the world’s favourite Nanny arriving on Cherry Tree Lane has triumphantly been brought to the stage, with its remarkable choreography, captivating effects and unforgettable songs. The stage version has been splendidly adapted from the wonderful stories created by PL Travers and the beloved Walt Disney film, in order to encompass it’s musical.

The accomplished award-winning creative team that has been assembled for ‘Mary Poppins’ is led by stage and film director Richard Eyre, who has directed productions of the musical in London and on Broadway.

The stage production of ‘Mary Poppins’ originally opened in 2004 and ran in the West End for over 1,250 performances. During this time it won the Oliver Award for Best Theatre Choreography and Best Set Design, it also received the Variety Club Award for Best Musical.

Therefore this multi-faceted production, which has been seen by over 11 million people worldwide, is one of the very best in recent theatrical history and will be an experience to behold for any theatregoer.
