Armed with a meat cleaver, two men entered The Weekender off-license on Elliot Street, Tyldesley, Wigan and left with a wad of cash, some stolen alcohol and cigarettes.
On Monday 4 May at around 8.30pm, the shop assistant, stood behind the counter, was approached by the mean and threatened with the meat cleaver. After the robbery, the men scarpered and the police were contacted.
The meat cleaver-wielder is described as being of a medium build and was donning a light blue top with a print of an animal on the front, gloves, dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers, his face disguised by a beige balaclava.
His accomplice, also of medium build, was sporting a navy blue hooded top with the hood drawn over his head and a mask obscuring his features. He also wore light-coloured tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a plastic bag.
