Michael B. Jordan will play villain in Black Panther

It has been confirmed that Michael B. Jordan will play villain ‘Erik Killmonger’ in upcoming Marvel film, ‘Black Panther’.

Black Panther is the story of ‘T’Challa’, the ruler of ‘Wakanda’, who is the Black Panther. The film tells of T’Challa’s efforts to prevent a takeover of his kingdom by his enemies.

Since the announcement that Michael B.Jordan was to appear in the film, speculation around which character he would play has been rife.

The confirmation that the star will play a bad guy in the movie, means he will face a new challenge, since up to now he has been known to play good characters and heroes, in all of his previous films.

In an interview with MTV, Jordan made comment on the role, saying, “It was always something that I’ve wanted to do. To play something completely different than any other character that I’ve ever played before”.

Erik Killmonger is a nemesis of leading character T’Challa, but there’s been no confirmation yet of any actual plot details of the film.

Black Panther is due to be released in the UK on 9 February 2018.
