Asda has become the first UK supermarket to sell milk drawn from free-range cows.
The UK’s well-loved supermarket chain now stocks bottles of free-range milk. The bottles come in one and two litre sizes.
Customers are guaranteed fresh milk from cows that are free to graze in fields. The free-roaming cows are allowed to graze in fields for at least six months of the year.
The bottles of milk carry the “pasture promise” logo, indicating that farmers are offered a fair price.
The free-range milk costs 90p for a litre.
