Mohamed Salah has announced he is confident he will be fit to represent Egypt in the World Cup this summer.
The Liverpool talisman hurt his shoulder in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, and departed the pitch in tears in the first half.
A collision with Sergio Ramos caused the injury and there were serious fears Salah would miss the World Cup after inspiring Egypt’s historic run to the finals in Russia.
Salah was also made to watch Liverpool lose the final 3-1 to Real and admitted is was a ‘tough’ night for him and the team. He said: ‘It was a very tough night, but I’m a fighter.
Despite the odds, I’m confident that I’ll be in Russia to make you all proud. ‘Your love and support will give me the strength I need.’
