Veteran supermodel Naomi Campbell has partnered up with Italian innerwear company Yamamay, in order to launch a limited-edition ‘affordable’ lingerie collection in time for Christmas. The collection, which is aptly titled ‘I Am Naomi Campbell’, includes bras, knickers and camisoles priced between £21 and £43.
The 45-year-old model represented some of her buoyant and racy pieces throughout the advertising campaign, which was shot by famed photographer Mario Testino. Among other outfits, Campbell flaunted a purple 3-piece set and a red lace body suit in the campaign.
Despite nearly three decades in the lucrative fashion industry and having fronted multiple lingerie campaigns for other brands including ‘Victoria’s Secret’, the collection will be the model’s first venture in to the design world. The multi-talented model unveiled her new project on Twitter at the beginning of November, when she posted an outtake from the campaign with the caption “My new line by @Yamamay shot by @mariotestino. #fashion #2015”.
Whilst talking about the new direction that her career has taken, Campbell remarked, “It’s as though my higher power kicked in when I least expected it. It’s been amazing and I’ve had so much fun”. Campbell has enjoyed a year of success after displaying her acting qualities in the hit TV show ‘Empire’ and in ‘American Horror Story’, alongside Lady Gaga.
