British soul singer-songwriter Natasha Watts was recently in town supporting Shalamar at the Manchester Academy.
Watts, who has over 10 number 1’s in the UK soul chart, joined the American R&B trio for their headline show.
The ‘Go Slow’ and ‘Won’t Let Go’ singer has two solo albums and has previously supported acts like Gladys Knight.
Watts burst onto the soul scene in 2009 with her collaboration with Cool Million in a track called ‘Show Me’.
Since then she has released well over 100 tracks – collaborating with other credible artists and selling out numerous shows.
Currently, Watts has a UK collaboration hit with Omar titled ‘Insatiable’.
In 2016, Watts supported American funk and disco group The Fatback Band on their UK tour.
The singer is back performing in Manchester as part of her own UK tour on 16 September.
Whilst in Manchester, a city whose fans “come for the music”, Watts exclusively spoke to TNT News. She spoke about about music, the key to success and what the UK media should do for independent artists.
