New showdown announced for BAMMA 26

On Saturday 10 September 2016, UK mixed martial arts promotion ‘BAMMA’ are set to display their latest event at the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

Two new fighters have been announced, who will take each other on at the event in a lightweight bout. It’s been confirmed that Rhys ‘Skeletor’ Mckee will face Tommy ‘The Ghost’ McCafferty.

This fight will be McCafferty’s first in BAMMA, but he has impressive kickboxing experience. Not only has he got titles under his belt, he’s also a kickboxing head coach, showing his expertise in the sport.

Mckee on the other hand has had two BAMMA fight wins already, with the last being a knockout against Alex Masuku in the second round at BAMMA 24. His first win was at BAMMA 22, against John Redmond and he will no doubt be desperate to secure the treble in September.

The main event of BAMMA 26 is a showdown between Chris Fields and Paul Craig.

This fixture is set to be an exhilarating spectacle, since the pair have reportedly already had a heated run-in with each other, months before the event.

In an interview with BAMMA whilst discussing this, Fields said, “He’s not my favourite person in the world so I’ll have no problem punching him in the mouth. I’m sure he feels the same way”.
