Officers are trying to trace the movements of a man who was found dead. On a Bolton building site.

Shortly after 9.30am on Monday 5 February 2018. Police were called to reports that the body of a man had been found. Near to Bridgewater Avenue.

Enquiries into the man’s death led officers to believe there were no suspicious circumstances. A file was passed to the coroner.

A Home Office Post Mortem examination took place. However, the results came back as ascertained. Officers have re-launched an investigation into his death.

Formal identification

The man, who has been formally identified as 30-year-old Karl Englemark. Karl had been reported missing to police from his home in North Manchester on Thursday 1 February.

On Friday 2 February. Karl checked into the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate around 5.30pm. He left approximately 10.30pm that evening.

He was not seen again. Until his body was discovered on a building site in Bolton on Monday 5 February.

Officers investigating the death are trying to trace his movements. To find out exactly what happened to him.

Detective Inspector Parker said, “Sadly, Karl’s family do not yet know the events that led to his death. Which is something we are hoping to find out for them.
